Eighteen years embedded in family business operations. Now independent.

Most consultants come from the outside. They analyze a business, write a report, and move on. I didn't take that path.

I spent eighteen years working inside large-scale family businesses—first at a transportation company with 500+ employees, then at a diversified conglomerate with five business units and 220+ staff. I wasn't there as an advisor. I was there as an operator—building financial systems, preparing budgets, managing audits, sitting in board meetings, handling the day-to-day work that keeps a business running

That means I understand family business dynamics in a way most consultants don't. I know what it's like when personal and corporate finances are tangled. I know how decisions get made when family relationships shape the org chart. I know what happens when no one wants to have the hard conversation about succession, profitability, or whether a business unit should be shut down.

I also know what good financial infrastructure looks like—and what happens when it doesn't exist. I've separated mixed accounts, allocated costs properly, prepared consolidated statements for organizations that had never produced them. I've valued assets, modeled M&A scenarios, and built the reporting systems that let leadership actually see what's going on.

I didn’t leave because I wanted to build a consulting firm. I left because the work I was doing—diagnosing problems, building financial systems, delivering clarity under pressure—turned out to be exactly what other businesses needed.

M Consulting was founded in July 2024. The practice focuses on financial diagnostics, M&A readiness, and operational finance for family businesses and SMEs—the kinds of organizations I understand from the inside.

How I Work

I don't work from templates. Every engagement starts with understanding what's actually going on—not what the org chart says, but how decisions are really made, where the money actually flows, what the numbers mean when you dig past the surface.

I don't disappear after the report. If something breaks during implementation, I'm there to fix it. If the assumptions change, we adjust the model. The work isn't done when the presentation is over—it's done when the outcome is stable.

And I don't take on work that doesn't make sense. If I'm not the right fit, I'll tell you upfront. If there's a better way to solve the problem, I'll say so. The goal is to deliver clarity and results, not to maximize billable hours.
